ST-ART | THE STRASBOURG CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR
FROM NOVEMBER 29 TO DECEMBER 1, 2024
AT THE STRASBOURG EXHIBITION PARK
For 28 years, ST-ART Strasbourg has remained one of the very first contemporary art and design fairs in the region.
ST-ART is synonymous with start-up, springboard and this is what earned it its reputation: it is in Strasbourg that everything can start, for a gallery, an artist or a collection.
Located a few steps from the European Parliament, the contemporary art fair is positioned in a rich cultural territory.
GLASS ART IN THE SPOTLIGHT
ST-ART shines a spotlight on glassmakers and the galleries that support them. Near the Vosges forests, Alsace has remained a key hub for the fire arts for several centuries. Three exceptional glass art sites, known as the "Terrestrial Stars," are joining ST-ART to showcase the richness of crystal artistry.
The Lalique Museum will present reissues of works conceived by René Lalique, as well as contemporary collaborations with architects like Zaha Hadid. The Meisenthal glass site will exhibit contemporary works from the Studio Glass movement from the Museum of Glass collections and pieces by the International Glass Art Center (CIAV). As for the Saint Louis crystal works, visitors will have an immersive experience through an augmented reality headset, allowing them to explore the skills and creations of this and the other two sites up close.
ESGAA (European Studio Glass Art Association), a partner of this edition, will present a piece by Joan Crous, a Catalan glass artist specializing in hot glass sculpture. Additionally, the CERFAV (European Center for Research and Training in Glass Arts) will showcase a selection of the finest works produced by seven of its former students.
The participating galleries
This edition will be marked by significant renewal in the selection of participating galleries. Among the sixty French and European galleries expected, more than one-third will be attending ST-ART for the first time or making their return. It will be an opportunity to discover or rediscover numerous galleries and new artists.
The ST-ART Program
Throughout these three days, ST-ART offers you: round tables, screenings, and conferences on contemporary art and its ecosystem.
You’ll have the chance to explore topics such as corporate cultural patronage, the role of editorial cartoons in the media, and delve into innovative themes like artwork leasing.
Don’t miss this opportunity to meet and engage with professionals on topics that are as diverse as they are enriching.
